Now Open: The St. Marguerite D'Youville Home for Homeless, Pregnant Mothers

Dear Friends,
We are so excited to share with you that our maternity home has now opened its doors to women in need. The home, located in Lafayette, welcomes pregnant women in crisis or women with children in difficult and/or life threatening situations.

The home offers the following services:

• Provides women with a peaceful, secure setting, while helping them process their needs, their emotions, and their choices.
• Avails them with access to educational, medical, and professional resources and to move ahead with their life with renewed hope.
• Offers spiritual guidance to women of all faiths.
• Provides a place for reflection and re-direction of their lives, as they look to the future with renewed hope.

How can you Help?
You can become a volunteer in many areas of need.

1. $70 houses a single pregnant mother and provides much more than food, clothing & shelter. It also provides counseling, educational classes, parenting skills, vocational training, health care information, budgeting assistance and more.
2. $35 provides formula, diapers, baby wipes and other essentials to keep a d'Youville Home baby healthy and happy for one week.
3. More than 1,200 calls come in to our 24/7 pregnancy center helpline each year: 337-289-9366 (local); 877-8-4-WOMEN (877-849-6636) toll free.
4. Average length of stay is predicted to be approximately 6 months.
5. You can be a Room Sponsor. You can sponsor a room with a $5,000.00 donation. Your family name will be enshrined with a plaque dedicated in your honor and the room may be interior decorated to your design.
6. Realizing Post Abortion depression and anxiety is a real hurt in our country, we offer a Post Abortion Healing Program.
