We do not receive government funding or funding from any Catholic diocese, or social service agency.
Our services are entirely generated by the

(1701-1770)
Foundress of the Gray Nuns of Montreal,
forerunners of the Gray Nuns of the Cross (now Sisters of Charity of
Ottowa) for whom the convent we are remodeling was built.
First native born French Canadian
(Quebec) saint . Beatified in 1959 by Pope John XXIII and canonized in
1990 by Pope John Paul II.
Through the Gray Nuns who taught in
Gueydan, Abbeville, Church Point, Erath, Kaplan, and Lafayette, St.
Marguerite has strong ties to south Louisiana and its French heritage.
